Rhode Island was on my list for one thing and one thing only: the Rhode Island School of Design. Since the day I switched to design, I have been reading about RISD, the innovative ideas that originated here, the artists and designers who trained here. It is kind of a Mecca for designers, so during my New England trip, I had to pick Providence.
