Stowe may be Vermont’s fall foliage superstar, but it is not the only place to experience a beautiful autumn getaway. With peak season arriving early, hotel prices rising, and northern Vermont requiring a longer drive, I decided to explore a more affordable and often overlooked corner of the state: Brattleboro in southern Vermont.
