If you are in Mumbai, visiting one of the Khau Gali is a must! They are an integral part of Mumbai’s urban culture and get you all the culinary specialities in one place. Khau Galis are usually located near the railway station or colleges and are the busiest during the evening.

I visited one such Khau Gali closest to my place in Dombivili East, next to K.V Pendarkar College. This place is a mix of traditional and modern eateries that can give you instant decision paralysis. But we say go random with your choice. We did the same and loved these five eateries that we highly recommend! Here is a list of must-eats at Dombivli (East) Khau Gali. 🤤 If you find yourself in Dombivli, give this Gali a visit!

👉 Momos at Delizio

If you are a Delhiite, you would know the importance of good momos in your life. Look no further, my friend. We have found a place for you! Our recommendation is Chatpata Momos because of its right blend of spicy and tangy flavours.

👉 Bhakri Misal at Mamledar Misal

If you want to spice things up, head to Mamledar Misal. The preparation is similar to any Misal but spicier yet soothing to your tastebuds. If you find it too spicy, club it with a glass of tangy Kokum sharbat. 🤤

👉 Afghani Soya Chaap at Magic Bites

Soya Chaap is another dish that holds a special place in every North Indian’s heart. However, this one comes with a slight twist (and crunch) but is definitely worth trying. Have it with a non-alcoholic (Coolberg) beer to level up your experience.

👉 Shawarma at Shawarma Ji

I think Dombivli folks have some obsession with this one as I came across at least a hundred Shawarma places. (kidding) But, honestly speaking, there were at least 10 Shawarma stations in this tiny Khau Gali. Therefore, we had to try this, and it was D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S. The filling was creamy, and the meat was juicy.🤤

👉 Fuljhar Soda at Soda Pub

This one is my favourite of all. It is a tiny shop next to Shawarma Ji offering sodas of various flavours, from Kala Khatta to my favourite one, Fuljhar soda. I had no clue what Fuljhar soda was, so I asked the shopkeeper to explain me, and this is how the conversation went.

Me: Bhaiya, what is a Fuljhar Soda? 😯
Bhaiya: This cleans your stomach
😒
Me:
🤔😬🤩

You can watch this video to see my reaction while trying this soda (as I had no clue about this drink). Moreover, I insist you all try this one at least once.🤪

Happy munching 😋
