Let’s be honest: Maui is not a budget destination. Hotels in Ka’anapali and Wailea will happily charge you $500–$800+ a night, and that’s before the resort fees. We were only in Maui for three days, so we were looking for accommodation that was centrally located to all the places we wanted to visit. When we found Maui Seaside Hotel in Kahului for around $325 a night, it felt like a relative win.
