I’m a big fan of Dolly Parton. I remember her being one of my favorite characters from Hannah Montana, and that quirky nostalgia stuck with me longer than I’d like to admit. Then we ended up watching Walk the Line, the Johnny Cash biopic, and it hit differently. The raw honesty of country music, the stories behind every song, the way it doesn’t pretend to be anything it’s not. We looked at each other halfway through and said, “We need to go to Nashville.”
