Last weekend, on a bright Sunday morning, I went birding at Union By Natural Area in Seattle, Washington. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited for birding. The West Seattle Neighbourhood is what you see right across the Puget Sound when viewing from the Downtown waterfront. It’s on slightly hilly terrain with lush evergreen trees and Olympic mountains peaking from the back. This neighbourhood is home to the famous Alki Beach (the main highlight of my article), a breathtaking view of the Space Needle along with Seattle’s skyline, a few gardens and eateries.
