Back in 2022, I took a leap as a budding YouTuber and invested in a budget-friendly microphone. The reason I didn’t immediately splurge on an expensive boom mic or a wireless mic was because I wasn’t sure how much I would use it or how consistent I’d be with my YouTube channel. But as it turns out, I was able to stay quite consistent, even after going through a rough year. I’m happy to share that by the end of 2024, I crossed the 1K milestone on YouTube!

This Mother’s Day reminded me of a beautiful day spent with my mom at Nehru Park in Chanakyapuri, Delhi. Both of us love to travel, and she knows I can’t help turning even the most routine errands into little expeditions. So when we came to Chanakyapuri for a visa renewal appointment, we decided to finally visit this park she had been meaning to see for years, but somehow never got around to.

I don’t usually write negative reviews, but our experience at the The Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls in Niagara Falls, Ontario was beyond disappointing. I’ve stayed in motels with less-than-ideal conditions, but this experience was a whole different level. While we didn’t expect luxury for the price, paying $400 per night set the expectation that we would receive a decent stay, but unfortunately, this wasn’t the case.

A place we stumbled upon, completely unplanned that somehow took me straight back to Morocco…

It was Free Comic Book Day, and we were hopping between two popular comic bookstores in Seattle to grab our free copies. One of them is actually one of the oldest comic bookstores in the world (Golden Age Collectibles), while the other (Arcane Comics) is newer but has a massive collection of comics and manga.

There’s a moment on the Vande Bharat, somewhere past Kalyan, when the concrete jungle thins out and the Western Ghats start creeping into the window, where it hits you that you’re leaving Mumbai behind. Two hours later, we stepped off the train into a city where people worship at ancient temples in the morning and swirl wine glasses by the afternoon. That’s Nashik for you, India’s holiest party town, or its most fun pilgrimage city, depending on how you look at it.
